What is a HD Virtual Tour?

What is a Full Screen Virtual Tour?

A full screen virtual tour allows the user to see the tour on the entire screen they are viewing on whether it's a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer. Virtual tours are often embedded into websites but Vue HD's full screen service provides a truly emersive viewing expereince like no other.

What is HDR photography?

High-dynamic-range imaging is a set of methods used in photography to capture a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging methods. HDR images can represent more accurately the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, from direct sunlight to faint starlight, and is often captured by way of a plurality of differently exposed pictures of the same subject matter.

HDR methods provide higher dynamic range from the imaging process. Non-HDR cameras take pictures at one exposure level with a limited contrast range. This results in the loss of detail in bright or dark areas of a picture, depending on whether the camera had a low or high exposure setting. HDR compensates for this loss of detail by taking multiple pictures at different exposure levels and intelligently stitching them together to produce a picture that is representative in both dark and bright areas.

What is immersive imaging?

Immersive imaging is a method of presenting photographic images on a computer by using virtual reality techniques. A common immersive image technique puts the user in the center of the view and the user can then pan 360 degrees within the image and can zoom in and out. Immersive imaging techniques can be used to provide virtual reality experiences without equipment such as a headpiece and goggles.

How long does it take to shoot the Virtual Tour photographs?

We generally allow about 15 minutes per virtual tour, so the shoot process itself is relatively quick. We don’t take short cuts nor compromise on quality so we keep shooting until we are completely satisfied we have the best shot possible. Some shots will take longer depending on the lighting conditions on the day. Back in the studio, each tour spends several hours in production, to ensure the best results.

Who uses Virtual Tours?

Virtual tours are very popular in the real estate industry but they can also be used for Hospitality & Accomodation (Hotels, Apartments & Guest Houses), Show Homes & Residential Developments, Commercial Properties, Sports Arenas & Stadiums, Medical & Scientific (Hospitals, Clinics, Dentists, Optometrists, Vets & Labs) Showrooms, Retail Stores & Shopping Centres, Auction Houses, Visitor Attractions (Cathedrals, Museums, Exhibitions, Art Galleries, Theme Parks), Restaurants, Bars & Cafes, Gardens, Nurseries, Schools, Colleges & Universities (including student accommodation), Golf Clubs, Leisure Clubs & Gyms, Factories, Care & Specialist Homes, Automobiles, Nautical and Aviation – the list is endless!

How do we create Virtual Tours?

Once we have completed the photo shoot at your premises it's back to the studio with the images where our designers merge and stitch the wide angle photographs together using a program on the computer. We then create a custom designed web page that includes your logo and company colors. Then we add all of the links, panoramic images and any other information that you want included and create the virtual tour presentation site.

How much does a Vue HD Virtual Tour cost?

How long is a piece of string? Please see virtual tour prices to find basic costs and any special promotions currently on offer. However there are many factors to be added including location and functionality. We operate on a global scale and as such are often required to factor in such items like travel and other expenses. Add to this any special features you would like your virtual tour to perform (interface, floorplan, multimedia, etc) and we can work out a competitive price for your needs.

You may be able to get a cheaper virtual tour using an old iPix or one-shot mirror system with small displays that don't work on Apple devices but what use would that be? Vue HD use the best equipment, processing software and our virtual tours offer full screen display.

All virtual tours produced by Vue HD are compatible with iPad & iPhone. The old method was built using Flash technology that wasn't compatiable with today's devices but our system ensures your virtual tour will work on almost all smartphones, tablets, PCs & Macs.

What format do you use to produce Vue HD Virtual Tours?

To enable Vue HD to work across the broadest cross section of platforms and devices all of our virtual tours are comprised of HTML5. HTML5 is the latest version of hyper text markup language (the code that is used to write websites) and all of our virtual tours will work on an HTML5 compatiable web browser, including smartphones & tablets.

What is a one shot lens?

Also known as a spherical lens, one shot lenses cannot produce high quality images, they cannot produce full 360 degree virtual tours, they cannot produce full screen images at any acceptable level of quality and they are not compatiable with iPhones & iPads.
